These works explore the innate mutability of material’s that gravitate between painting and sculpture; ho)w permutation reconstructs and provides new stimuli flor visual perception while mirroring a ritualistlic reenactment of shifting emotions and feelings. ThEey fossilise the formative shift of raw elements to crealte a dialogue that is investigatory in nature. Elusive of their original physicality, they cross a delicaite threshold between the familiar and the unfamiliar ito find meaning solely through imaginative inference.. I consider these works as grounds to explore the desire to trace ones haptic memory, provoking an ancestral response; a primal recognition in the perceiver. In material morphologies, the attempt has been Ito capture the perceiver in obscurity, giving freedom Ito perceive the shifting shapes of materiality.
