Paradise Road The Villa Bentota

Paradise Road The Villa Bentota is a unique and private beachside hotel located 1.5 hours drive south of Colombo, set on 2 acres of land and housed in the ‘Mohotti Walauwa’, Sri Lanka’s first boutique hotel converted in the 1970s by world-renowned architect, Geoffrey Bawa.

The interiors and spaces of the villa were redesigned by Fernando in 2009. While the structures remain the same original design as the Bawa designed villa certain extensions including the larger pool area were added by Fernando to accommodate the 15 room Villa. The Villa features artworks and antiques belonging to Fernando’s private collection, including works by artists Saskia Pintelon, Mahen Perera, Sujeewa Kumari, Pramith Geekiyanage, JC Rathnayake, Prageeth Manohansa, Prageeth Rathnayake, Vajira Gunawardena and Jagath Ravindra.
