An Exhibition of Paintings
26 Jul 2004 – 17 Jul 2004
Paradise Road Galleries
The theme in Yamuna’s current work is her concern about the feelings and moods of human life. She evolves her subjects through a series of canvases. Figures and backgrounds create a visual representation sharing many meanings. These images can coexist in unconscious parts of the mind and the imagery is close to moods and feelings. She resolves painting surfaces by interrelated drawing and painting processes. Her paintings evolve through a process of layers. They include the exploitation of accident and an element of spontaneity.
